WHO WE ARE

Jordyn and Kay are mother and daughter in law and we are a family of hobby farmers located in the beautiful Bellingham, Washington. Our goal is being self sufficient, working hard and empower others to be self sufficient. Portage View Farm was established in 2006 after moving to Bellingham and leaving the corporate world. We decided that living a self-sustaining life would be a great way to teach our children how to work hard and work together. Our farm consists of Nigerian Dwarf goats that we use for breeding and milking. Kune Kune pigs are being raised for meat, along with cornish cross broiler chickens and turkeys that we raise and process ourselves. We also grow a garden and fruit orchard.

IMPROVING THE PROCESS ONE CHICKEN AT A TIME.

After processing chickens for the last few years and not having products that we love and after tons of research and not being able to find what we really wanted, we started working on designs for our own farm equipment. We would love to be able to make chicken tractors and processing tables available to really change how raising and processing chickens is done. We are passionate about helping others learn how to harvest their own meat. It’s such an essential skill to have on the homestead!

HELPING OTHERS BECOME SELF SUFFICIENT

We love the satisfaction that growing our own food and raising our own meat brings to us. We love the quality of our food and knowing exactly where it was raised and how it was raised. We want to share our passion with others to help them start on their own path of self sustainability. Whether it’s just helpful information on the farm, or specifics to growing tomatoes, or down to the processing equipment that gets the job done, we want to be your go to people who help you with it all. Thank you for being here. Be sure to follow us on social media to see more of who we are, our products and how they are used and our family adventures on the farm!
